Do you have an interest in the intersection of videogames and poetry? Join my "Game Poets" Discord!
I love connecting with faculty and students, discussing art and design, bridging disciplines, and challenging peoples’ assumptions about videogames.
In addition to lecturing widely on critical and experimental game design (see my CV), I have designed and taught game-related classes at the University of California, Santa Cruz as instructor of record, led capstone project groups at Oregon State University, and served on the advisory committee for Azusa Pacific University's game design program.
I am particularly experienced at successfully guiding students through challenging creative projects in experiential learning contexts.
My academic qualifications include an M.F.A. in Digital Arts and New Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
